Kateřina and Jiří’s wedding took place in the Ursuline monastery, which meant that some of the decorations could be omitted, as the architecture itself provided sufficient decoration. We mainly used floral decorations to brighten up the interior, using plants picked in the surrounding area and supplemented with pieces from a Czech flower farm. The outdoor area with the marquee was decorated a little more. Here we used colorful garlands for the garden and placed several large transparent textile objects and classic triangular semi-transparent garlands in the tent. We also made bouquets for the bride, mothers, and witnesses. In addition, we used classic myrtle with our special addition.
And at the end of all the pomp and circumstance, we tucked into the cakes, of which there were three, all corresponding to the theme of the wedding—namely, the movie The Godfather. The first cake was gold and called Roma-Vatican, the second was pink and red and called Amore, and the last black cake, Famiglia Mafia, had a marzipan horse’s head on top.
